Sci fi films

Dear Internet,

I just watched inception for the second time and I still can't quite decide what happens in it. I love how I was questioning if its a dream or not throughout the whole film. Normally you don't wish for the ending to be that it was all a dream.

I like inception, maybe even love it. But what I really wanted to talk about is the age difference/ views of my relatives. Seeing as its christmas we are spending more "family time" together than is healthy for the human mind, and I asked if anyone wanted to watch a dvd? I got a reply of "well nothings on tv".
So I gave the option of the different dvd's we had given each other over christmas. Toy story 3, Inception, and Shutter Island. We had allready watch the obvious family choice of Toy Story, so Inception (the special edition!) was broken out of the plastic coating and shoved in the tv.

Five mins in, "this is rubbish", "what the hell is this!"

So I listened to what the critics had to say! "This doesn't make sense", Its a dream it doesn't have to make sense, just go with it.

"Whats happening" If you wern't talking you would understand, ...... wouldn't YOU.

"I don't like sci fi" Alright get out.

I don't understand how you can't like or at least appreciate one of the biggest film genres, even if you don't like it. You can't ignore that it also has one of the highest grossing films in it genre as well and many films that changed the whole industry. I know that there is an age gap, but if you don't embrace anything new at all or give it a chance you will miss out on so many things. I know that you don't have to try or experience everything, but at least realize how much it means to other people.

An example in which I'm on the opposing end is the twilight saga. I didn't want to know anything at first, but after I realized it wasn't going away for a while, I had my girlfriend explain the whole sorry to me. (I wasn't goingto read the books, but I have watched some of the films)
I kind of understand how it is so popular but it still sounds stupid to be honest.

but hey thats quite a long blog

see ya

First Blog (First Rant)

I just trying to think of how to start this so, there you go. I've havn't ever seen the appeal of facebook or twitter, I do have them but I don't really use them. I feel that people broadcast things that just don't need to be broadcast. Eg. "Just managed to walk into the fridge :s" Although quite funny, why did we need to know this, what use has to given me that you are incapable at avoiding inanimate objects?

When I post things I either do it because I'm really pissed (as in angry) or just trying to be funny. Either of which don't receive that much traffic. That example that I have taken has 3 likes in 3 hours and 4 comments, thats more than a years activity for me on facebook.

But I think blogging is different, even though this is being "broadcast" its more than just a tweet. Its a letter to the internet, so I think I might start this again. Hur Hum

Dear Internet
We have grown close friends over the past years. Giving me access to such websites as youtube, googel, .......the sun online. I know that this message has been a bit of a rant so far but this is what I do.

I hope that my letters to you will become frequent to you, and even though you can't reply yourself you have many users that can.

Yours Frank

P.S. Do you look like the matrix, you know the green funny codey bit?

p.p.s. Most of my letters to you will be rants!
