Sexism on Sky

Hey Web,

Sexism has been all over the news in England this week. This is due to the presenters on sky sports.
Basically the story is that the presenters said that a woman referee didn't know the off side rule.
(pretty crucial in football)

This then lead on to reveal footage of one of the presenters making a suggesting comment to the female presenter ,Charlotte Jackson.

They then sacked this presenter.

This is a link to the full story http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/9373280.stm

Now I can see why this subject is controversial. If that referee had been male then it would of just been another game with another complaint towards the referee.

But they didn't just say that she didn't know the offside rule they implied that all women didn't know the offside rule. This happens all the time down the pub but they were in a studio and ment to be professionals.

I get that the football world is male orientated, but hey I love football I support Everton, but I don't treat women like they are less important.

It makes me really frustrated that these kind of dicks make sexist remarks and say its just banter.

Its not banter when your the only one laughing.

Grow up your in the 21st century now, equality is here and here to stay.

Yours Frank
